General Summary:

The Account manager is responsible for selling Managed Services, VoIP soltions, and Managed Hosting to SMB & SME clients. This person is responsible for prospecting new business, cultivating leads, and cross selling across the NorthStar portfolio of products and services. The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment is crucial to success in the position. The Account Manager will work in collaboration with internal resources as the opportunity matures through the sales cycle. The Account Manager must have an ability to understand the big picture and successfully position solution stratagies, product demonstrations and presentations appropriatley. Proven sales success is a must and telecommuncation or technology sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1: Develop new logos and prospect for new business
2: Demonstrated ability to quickly master and sell Managed Services, Hosted & Physical PBX, and managed Hosting.
3: Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and monthly revenue quotas.
4: Maintain existing accounts and build new revenue within account base through sale of complementary servcies.
5: Build a pipeline of valid sales opportunities within specified geographic region.
6: Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify other solutions within the product porfolio.
7: Must be a team player, with a strong desire to over-achieve.
8: Develop and maange sales funnel to analyze and manage activity and provide accurate and detailed forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities.
9: Continue to train and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise in Managed Services, Cloud Services and VoIP technologies.
10: Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
11: Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

1: Strong desire to overachieve
2: Must be a self starter
3: College Degree
4: Minimum 2 years successful technology or telecommuncation sales experience.
5: The ability to prospect for and create a book of business.
6: Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to meet customer/prospect needs.
7: Excellent communcation (verbal and written), presentation, qualifying, closing and negotiating skills.
8: Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
9: Able to ascertain critical client business issues and match needs with available solutions.
10: Ability to work closely with other field sales resources to ensure total account opportunity is capitalized on. Posess total account awareness.
11: Can position products in feature, function, and benefit/value.
12: Able to develop and maintain strong relationships throughout account life cycle.
13: Experienced in managing internal resources necessary to support complex customer/prospect needs arising during sales process.
14: Experienced in front of "C" level buyers.
15: Successful track record penetrating accounts and selling after the first sale.
16: Bsic knowledge of business administration and the financial decision process.
17: Must be able to make initial "cold" contact phone calls.
18: Ability to thrive in high-pressure, quota-driven sales environment.
19: Strong computer skills and the ability to manage high levels of internal/external, in/out bound e-mail correspondence.
20: Ability to effectivley prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and effectively use time and resources.
21: Experience in Excel, Word, and CRM system will be required to generate reports, correspondence, and manage sales activity.
22: Must be organized and able to multi-task.
